Bart has been in the hobby for many years and has always owned classic cars. He currently owns a beautiful Plymouth, which was insured with American Modern Home, until he began to search for a company that would allow his 17-year-old stepdaughter, Ellen, to drive. He and Ellen’s mother were married in 2004, when Ellen was 8, and she quickly adopted her stepfather’s interest in cars. Ellen has been very involved in the classic car hobby and has even driven “Jr. Dragsters.” Ellen fell in love with “Doc” Hudson from the movie “Cars” when she was younger, and when she got a little older, Bart started looking for a project Hudson they could work on together. He found one in 2008, showed it to Ellen and she loved it. They’ve been working on it ever since and now have it ready for the road. Bart and Ellen’s mom divorced in 2010, but he remains Ellen’s legal guardian, and they continue to share a love of classic cars.
Nancy grew up outside of Flint, Mich., in the twilight years of big labor and big cars. Hers was a Ford family in a GM town! She enjoys the poetry of Jim Daniels and the music of Tom Petty, and hopes to see the Bonneville Salt Flats one day.
