The World’s First Ford Mustang owner
Two days before Mustangs were set to go on sale nationwide, Gail was shopping for a new car and the salesmen said he had “something in the back that’s really new.” It turned out to be a new 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible in Skylight Blue. This car was her husband’s daily driver and survived 15 years of Chicago winters, before sitting in the garage for 27 years. In 2007 they began the restoration process.
