For the past 26 years Josh has worked for the Rossford (Ohio) Fire Department. When he started his career, this 1968 American Lafrance Fire Truck was in the department’s fleet, but was retired after 30 years of service. Years later, the Rossford Fire Department received a call from a fire department in New Jersey notifying them that the truck was on eBay. Josh couldn’t believe the news because he had believed the truck to be in Columbus, Ohio. He spoke with the seller and asked to be notified when the truck was sold so he could keep track of it. Josh later received a call back from the seller and it turned out that the truck did not sell. It was Josh’s chance to purchase the truck and he took the opportunity using money he’d recently inherited from his father because he wanted to bring the truck back home to the Rossford Fire Department. He revealed the truck during the Memorial Day Parade and the community was blown away to see it!
