In 1975 Mark’s dad was putting in a heating system for one of his neighbors and noticed a car in the barn covered in dust and other undesirable materials. Taking a closer look, he discovered it was a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 with only 29,000 miles. His dad asked the neighbor if he would sell the car and he replied 'No, I am saving it for my son who will be driving soon'. When Mark’s dad completed the job, he told the neighbor if he ever changed his mind to give him a call. Six months later the call was made and he was asked if he was still interest in buying the car. Mark’s dad went over and bought the car, changed the oil, tuned it up, and drove it home. He kept it for five years and then gave it to Mark in 1980 when he got his license. This was Mark’s first car and as of January 2016 he’s owned it for 36 years.
