Robert has been restoring police cars for 16 years now. He loves supporting active and past police officers who risk their lives every day to protect us. His cousin Wayne was a Chief of police in Sharpsburg NC from 1985 – 1997 when he was killed in the line of duty. Robert is currently restoring a 1985 Ford LTD Crown Victoria, a previous Chief unit from Walnut Pennsylvania, in Chief Wayne’s memory for the 20th anniversary off his passing. He will be taking it to Washington DC for police week, as well as attending a candle light service in the vehicle with Chief Wayne’s sister and other family members. The car will possibly be driven in the parade by the current Sharpsburg Chief of Police or possibly the original owner and at the time Chief of Police in Walnut, Pennsylvania. He has several other cars including a 1965 Ford CSTM Police, which he met his wife in and she won’t let him get rid of it, and a 1973 Ford LTD Brougham which has seal on it that you can only get with permission from Congress. Robert goes to a lot of parades mostly honoring police, but he was in the 2009 Presidential inaugural parade in his 1965. His favorite line was “I gotta do it right” in regards to the restoration of the 1985 for this upcoming Police weeks parade and candle light vigil. Robert is very enthusiastic about this hobby and police in general.
