1953 Ford F100 Dan from Ohio

Scott is an active U.S. Military member and had been looking for a hobby to keep him busy around his home. When he spotted this Ford truck in a field, he could envision what it would look like fully restored. He bought the truck and brought it home--complete with a bird's nest and a mouse.

Scott soon discovered he had a true passion and talent for vehicle restoration. After taking the vehicle to two different shops, he was still not satisfied with the body work. He learned to make the repairs himself and replaced most of the body including all panels, the hood, front clip, cowl, firewall, and floors.

After four years, Scott has completed the restoration and looks forward to enjoying the hobby with his family--most of all with his son, who is also active military and currently deployed.

Dan grew up in Elk Rapids, and attended Grand Valley State. After spending many years in the restaurant industry moving around the country, he returned home to Northern Michigan. Dan enjoys the outdoors with his wife and their dog, Eagan. He has an extensive Hot Wheels collection (many of them on his desk) and is a motorcycle and Cadillac enthusiast.
